The Squared Math is Simple: Shop for Holiday Gifts While Giving Back to Those in Need this Holiday Season

(Napa Valley, CA, December 4th 2014) — Founded in a Napa Valley backyard shed (the Shed-Teau) in 2001 by industry veteran Judd Wallenbrock, Humanitas is a unique winery that creates ultra-premium wines from California’s finest vineyards and appellations, and gives 7% of all revenues to charity. Specifically, the monies go to solution-based organizations in health, hunger and affordable housing, with a focus on regional giving.

In 2014, Humanitas joined the Good Life Wine Collective with Jessup Cellars and Handwritten Wines following Wallenbrock taking the helm of the family-owned wine group in 2012 as CEO and President. On Thursday, December 11th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, the Humanitas Tasting Annex will officially open with The Gifting2 Open House gathering at 25 Enterprise Court in southern Napa. The squared math is simple: shop for holiday gifts while giving back to those in need this holiday season via the Napa Valley Food Bank, a program of CANV (Community Action of Napa Valley). Reservations are limited at CellarPass.com/Humanitas-Wines-Profile.

“After thirteen years of operating Humanitas as a one man show, and now finding the perfect home with the owners and team at the Good Life Wine Collective,” said Wallenbrock, “we’ll be able to accelerate our mission of enhancing people’s lives by giving back to the community. With the opening of our Tasting Annex at our winery facility in the Crusher Wine District, we’ll be offering our Pay it Forward tasting experiences that are seasonally-based, interactive and fun.”

Along with one-night-only 15% off member pricing on Humanitas Vineyard Designate Selections and merchandise, the winery will donate 20% of the evening’s proceeds to the Napa Valley Food Bank. To round out the celebration that includes tours of the winery, master instructor and cookbook author Chef MikeC will demonstrate and share spoon-bites of his molecular gastronomy paired with Humanitas Wines. High-resolution photographs and interviews are available upon request.
